Job Description
- Survey sites and prepare logs/maps using GIS.
- Collect and analyze geological data.
- Inspect the composition of samples and specimens.
- Measure and test fossils, rocks, soil, ores and other material with the appropriate instruments.
- Prepare reports on findings.
- Carry out quality control on the suitability of material and examine projects.
- Identify and evaluate natural resource deposits.
- Make sure environmental and other regulations are met in construction and production projects.
Requirements
- Experience using geology software.
- Must be familiar with environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of the attributes of ores, soil, minerals and other materials.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology / Geoscience.
