Drive vehicles of varying sizes and complexity over designated routes in accordance with time schedules.
Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
Provide daily supervision of assigned drivers and monitors to ensure proper and consistent performance of duties.
Prepare and maintain a variety of vehicle records like parking fees, salik tags etc. as applicable in UAE.
Ensure the maintenance & health of the vehicle by arranging oil change and other vehicle maintenance on time.
Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements. Coordinate, plan and implement training programs for Driving.
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of drivers; schedule and assign work; counsel and recommend disciplinary actions and recommend removal of drivers, as appropriate.
Direct investigations to verify and resolve location complaints.
Serve as the contact person for all drivers, in-charges within assigned locations.
Implement schedule and company transport policy.
Collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Monitor operations to ensure that staff complies with policies and procedures, safety rules, road regulations so that fines are avoided.
Direct and coordinate, through subordinates, activities of operations department in order to obtain use of vehicles, equipment, facilities, and staff in a proper manner.
Direct activities of staff performing repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and other items.
Conduct investigations in cooperation with management to determine the causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures for all.
Develop a transportation road track and schedule of work.
Control the overtime of the driving staff.
Ensure that delivery & pickup is on time.
Ensure the hygiene of the vehicle & the drivers.
Ensure that driver should follow that company policy in wearing complete uniform including shoes and well-groomed personality.
Ensure uploading & offloading of items in the vehicles is followed as per the policy of the company.
Ensure the log book is followed to keep track of items sent and received.
Ensure that vehicles are not damaged and if damaged corrective action should be taken immediately.
Ensure that food temperature of food chillers is maintained.
Ensure that the food is delivered in the same quality and quantity, and presentation as it was loaded in the vehicle.
